Openssl vulnerability october 202212/27/2023 □Įmail Address 4-byte Buffer Overflow (CVE-2022-3602): A buffer overrun can be triggered in X.509 certificate verification, specifically in name constraint checking. Later on, further analysis of some of the mitigating factors led this to be downgraded to HIGH. ![]() This was the same issue that was marked Critical by the OpenSSL team and made a preannounced of the vulnerability. The first flaw CVE-2022-3602 was discovered and reported by Polar Bear on 17th October 2022.
